They perform really well on top of shadows, but also alone. Nebula (top, fourth from left), Supermoon (middle, last from left), and Gold Glitch (bottom, fifth from left) are those glitter pigment shadows that Huda Beauty has been known for. Now for pigmentation, I’m super impressed. Vortex – Hot Mess – Supernova – Karma – Gold Glitch – Frazzled Off Balance – Galaxy – Libra – Crash – Momentum – Supermoon This palette has 18 shadows in total with mattes, glitters, and shimmers.Ĭosmic – Utopia – Ultraviolet – Nebula – Mercury – Haze Similar to the Desert Dusk it has a very generous mirror inside. You can tell from my picture above, the holographic rainbows shine very bright. It’s a plastic palette which is different than my other Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette which is cardboard. The packaging itself is very very pretty. I love the wearable glitters but also a very nice array of brights and mattes. When I saw the release of this, I was just instantly drawn to the colours. It’s been awhile since I’ve been so enamoured with a palette. I dumped some other things in my basket and went for this. I took to Twitter to help me make a decision. At a time when consumers are getting more conscious of their consumption, it’s surprising that companies have been ramping up production of new releases like no one’s business. I haven’t been buying makeup lately, one, because I’m adulting and paying bills and spoiling my cats, and two, there just haven’t been many releases that have excited me. Photos courtesy of Huda Beauty. With it being Sephora Sale Season (you still have one day left for the sale! Code is HOLIDAYSAVE, expires Nov 11, 2019), I was going back and forth with the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette. You can find it in store at Sephora in July. It seems to be sold out at Sephora and Huda Beauty, but I was able to find it in stock at SELFRIDGES. You can buy ROSE GOLD REMASTERED online at Sephora, Cult Beauty and. It’s definitely a great go-to palette for those of us who love some shimmer on the lid too, because those colors are GORGEOUS on. I’ve used a light hand with the shadows for a more natural wear-to-work look and have amped it easily, layering on the pigment. I think it’s a versatile palette with fantastic formulas. I totally dig the combo of Risque and Fling too. Other favorites include Coco, Pink Diamond (prettiest pink shimmer) and Rose Gold. I love Bubbly and Moon Dust for inner corner highlight. The pigment is strong and they blend well together. After testing their application with a dry brush, wet brush and fingers, I found that I prefer to use my finger to apply, preferably a little wet. The shimmers (melted metals and a pressed pearl) are beautiful too. I’ve been obsessed with the mattes-the whole bottom row is my jam. You may even see the shadow move around within its place, and that’s okay, you can just press it back in. I learned that the reason the formula is so different is that the shadows are “back-injected” then baked, which is why they look like they are indented in the middle. The shadows are truly soooo buttery soft, creamy and without much fallout. I’ve been using it pretty consistently for the past week and I’ve been very happy with every aspect.
